Ailing Political Prisoner Imprisoned for Facebook Posts Denied Medical Care
Soheil Arabi, who is currently serving a seven-and-a-half year prison sentence for the content of his social media posts, is being denied urgent medical care, his lawyer told the Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.
“My client has been having serious seizures and is in poor condition,” said Arabi’s lawyer, Amir Salar Davoudi. “My plea to the judicial authorities is to allow him to be transferred to a hospital or his condition could get worse and impossible to treat.”
“I hope the authorities will show more concern regarding this case,” he added. “They are responsible for his health.”
Political prisoners in Iran are singled out for harsh treatment, which often includes denial of medical care.
Arrested by the Sarallah Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on November 7, 2013, Arabi, 34, was originally sentenced to death for “insulting the Prophet,” but Branch 24 of the Supreme Court ultimately overturned the sentence.
His family and lawyer have been hoping that his three sentences, issued by three separate courts, could be combined so he could become eligible for conditional release under Article 134 of Iran’s Islamic Penal Code, which allows for only the longest sentence to be served in cases involving multiple convictions.
“Those who are sentenced to security crimes are not qualified for leniency,” Davoudi told the Campaign. “But Soheil has not even committed a security crime. He was just a Facebook activist and for that he’s being denied temporary release.”
“Those who have been sentenced to less than 10 years in prison are legally eligible for temporary release, but Soheil’s frequent requests have all been rejected,” he added.
Arabi has also been ordered to undergo two years of religious studies (to prove his repentance), and banned from travelling abroad for two years after his release.
“Mr. Arabi must read 13 books on theology and religious awareness for two years and prepare summaries for each one to clear his doubts,” a source told the Campaign in October 2015.
صدور حکم سنگسار یک زن و مرد در دادگاه بدوی در لرستان و سکوت مقامات قضایی
با گذشت یک هفته از انتشار خبری مبنی بر صدور حکم سنگسار برای یک زن و مرد در استان لرستان، مقامات قضایی ایران هنوز واکنشی در تایید یا رد این خبر نشان نداده‌اند. پایگاه خبری محلی کشکان پانزدهم بهمن ماه از صدور حکم سنگسار برای یک زن و مرد به اتهام رابطه نامشروع (زنای محصنه) خبر داده بود.
وبسایت تحلیلی خبری کشکان که اخبار استان لرستان را منعکس می‌کند، به نقل از یک منبع مطلع نوشته است شعبه اول دادگاه کیفری یک استان لرستان آقای «خ – آ» و خانم «س – م» را در دادگاه بدوی به رجم (سنگسار) محکوم کرده است.
این پرونده به دلیل انتشار ویدئویی از رابطه این زن و مرد در روستای گراب از توابع شهرستان کوهدشت در استان لرستان به «کلیپ گراب» معروف شده است. پس از انتشار ویدئو شوهر خانم «س – م» از همسرش به اتهام رابطه نامشروع شکایت کرده و برای او خواستار اشد مجازات شده است.
طبق گزارش این وبسایت محلی، حکم فعلا در مرحله نخست صادر شده و متهمان هنوز فرصت اعتراض و تجدید نظرخواهی دارند. دو تن از عوامل انتشار ویدئوی رابطه این مرد و زن نیز بازداشت شده اند. این گزارش همچنین افزوده است که «در این پرونده نقش مدیریت ریاست دادگستری شهرستان، دادستان عمومی و انقلاب و فرماندهی انتظامی شهرستان کوهدشت در جمع آوری دلایل و مدارک، دستگیری متهمین و ارسال پرونده به مراجع قانونی حائز اهمیت بوده است.»
در قوانین جزایی ایران که برگرفته از فقه شیعه است، رابطه مرد و زن متاهل با فردی غیر از همسر قانونی یا شرعی با عنوان «زنای محصنه» توصیف می‌شود و در صورت اثبات می‌تواند با مجازات آن رجم یا سنگسار مواجه شود.
حکم سنگسار با اینکه از مجازات‌های برگرفته از فقه شیعه است، ولی در قانون مجازات اسلامی جدید مصوب ۱۳۹۲ امکان توقف یا تغییر آن در صورت «عدم امکان اجرا» پیش‌بینی شده است، اگرچه به شرایط و دلایلی که موجب عدم اجرای آن می‌شود، اشاره‌ای نشده است. طبق ماده ۲۲۵ قانون مجازات اسلامی در صورتی که دادگاه صادر کننده حکم سنگسار «عدم امکان اجرای» حکم سنگسار را پیشنهاد کند و این پیشنهاد مورد موافقت رئیس قوه قضائیه قرار گیرد، حکم سنگسار بسته به دلایل اثبات می‌تواند به اعدام یا صد ضربه شلاق تبدیل شود، به این ترتیب که اگر جرم با شهادت یا اقرار ثابت شده باشد، تبدیل به اعدام و اگر صرفا با «علم قاضی» ثابت شده باشد، تبدیل به صد ضربه شلاق می‌شود.
سنگسار نوعی مجازات قدیمی است و به این شکل است که گروهی از مردم با شرکت در فرایند اجرای حکم قضایی با پرتاب سنگ به سوی محکوم موجب مرگ او می‌شوند، جامعه بین المللی و فعالان حقوق بشر این مجازات را وحشیانه توصیف می‌کنند و ایران نیز یکی از شش کشوری است که به دلیل گنجاندن این مجازات در قوانین خود و همچنین مواردی از اجرای این حکم همواره مورد انتقاد قرار گرفته است.
در سال ۱۳۸۲ و در پی قول شفاهی مسئولان قوه قضائیه ایران به مقام‌های اروپایی، صدور احکام سنگسار با بخشنامه‌ای از سوی محمود هاشمی شاهرودی رئیس قوه قضاییه متوقف شد. این بخشنامه دیری نپایید و و در مهرماه ۱۳۸۶ مردی در تاکستان قزوین سنگسار شد. محمدجواد لاریجانی دبیر ستاد حقوق بشر قوه قضائیه اجرای این حکم را اشتباه قاضی خواند و در عین حال افزود که ایران از اجرای حکم سنگسار خجالت نمی‌کشد.
Editor Detained by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry Pleads for Help From Evin Prison
Tahereh Riahi, the social affairs editor of the state-funded Borna News Agency, who has been detained by the Intelligence Ministry since late December 2016 without access to legal council, pleaded for help in her latest phone call to her family from Evin Prison, an informed source told the Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.
“Tahereh had a short phone conversation with her mother on January 30 (2017) and said she had been interrogated,” said the source. “She was crying and saying she was feeling terrible and going through very difficult times. We also heard that her left cornea was injured during the interrogation. We even heard she was taken to the hospital for treatment, but we don’t have more information.”
According to a statement issued by Borna on February 2, 2017, the news agency expects that after the end of the investigation and the judicial process, the court will release her on bail.
The source added that Riahi’s family lost loved ones in the Iran-Iraq War (1980-88) and “gave blood to defend this country.”
“If the authorities think that someone like her can carry out ‘propaganda against the state,’ then there’s nothing left to say,” said the source. “Unfortunately, Tahereh has not been permitted family visits and the authorities have not accepted her lawyer’s credentials.”
“After Tahereh’s arrest, agents came to her house and carried out a search while filming the operation,” the source told the Campaign. “They refused to answer her mother’s questions (about why they were there) even when she became upset. They took away Tahereh’s computers and some books. They said she was going to be freed in 24 hours, but it has been more than a month.”
“At first, Tahereh’s mother was hopeful because she thought maybe if she kept quiet, her daughter would be freed,” continued the source. “But now she has lost hope… She hasn’t been told about the injury to Tahereh’s eye because she would get more upset,” said the source.
“Her husband (died defending Iran in the Iran-Iraq War); she can’t tolerate what’s happening to her only daughter,” added the source.
Agents of the Intelligence Ministry arrested Riahi on December 27, 2016 at Borna’s main office in Tehran and accused her of “propaganda against the state.” The news agency is a branch of the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, which reports directly to President Hassan Rouhani.
According to the source, the authorities had promised to free Riahi on 300 million tomans ($93,000 USD) bail, but extended her detention order for an additional month after the family had already gathered the funds.
تحصن تعدادی از زندانیان سیاسی زندان اوین در اعتراض به عدم رسیدگی پزشکی

تعدادی از زندانیان سیاسی و عقیدتی بند هفت زندان اوین در اعتراض به قاسم جعفر نژاد رییس بهداری بند هفت زندان اوین با نگارش و امضای نامه ای خواستار برکناری این شخص شدند. این زندانیان در اعتراض به عدم رسیدگی پزشکی به زندانیان بیمار در این بند دست به تحصن زدند.
این تحصن و اعتراض برای عدم رسیدگی پزشکی مناسب به زندانیان این بند از مخصوصا مهدی و حسین رجبیان که مهدی رجبیان از بیماری ام اس و همچنین عفونت شدید کلیه که در هفته هایی اخیر پیشرفت داشته و همچنین حسین رجبیان که اون نیز به عفونت کلیه مبتلاست رنج میبرند صورت گرفت.
مهدی رجبیان، حسین رجبیان، اسماعیل عبدی، سهیل عربی، امید علیشناس و یوسف عمادی از جمله زندانیانی هستند که در اعتراض به اقدامات «قاسم جعفر نژاد» رییس بهداری بند هفت زندان اوین با نگارش و امضای نامه ای به مسئولین این زندان خواستار برکناری این مسئول شدند.
در پی درخواست های این دوبرادر برای روند درمان و مرخصی به آن ها گفته شده که ضابطین پرونده و دادیار قوه قضاییه با روند درمانی و مرخصی برادران رجبیان مخالف اند.
این درحالی است که مهدی رجبیان به دلیل پیشرفت عفونت کلیه اش شب ها از درد خوابش نمیبرد.

پرویز پرستویی به کشته شدن کولبران در آذربایجان غربی واکنش نشان داد.
پرویز پرستویی در پی حادثه ریزش بهمن در آذربایجان غربی و کشته شدن چندتن از کولبران، عکسی از یکی از این افراد در اینستاگرام خود منتشر کرد و نوشت:
«این جوان اگر ساکن جایی دیگر بود، الان مشغول تحصیل بود، یا کار مناسبی داشت و سالی یکبار هم به تعطیلات می‌رفت.
شاید با رخسارو قامتش ستاره سینما می‌شد. اما اینجا کولبر بود وزیر برف جان سپرد.
روح همه کولبرانی که زیر خروارها برف جان سپردن شاد و یادشان گرامی باد.»
